Woody's Bio
As a typical baby boomer I grew up listening to the Beatles, the Beach Boys, CCR, CSNY and all of the music we now refer to as Classic Rock. I got my first guitar for my 16th birthday. Although I tried other instruments ranging from the flute (Jethro Tull inspired) to the violin ( The Beatles - I Am the Walrus inspired) to the banjo (The Eagles - Take It Easy inspired) to the piano (Billy Joel inspired), the guitar was always the instrument that I loved the most.
In my younger days I played in various bands playing cover tunes of the day. In the 80's I was a member of a Beatles tribute band playing the part of John Lennon.
In 2001 I attended my first of many Jimmy Buffett concerts. I immediately went from someone who only knew a couple of Buffett tunes to a full-fledged Parrothead. I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to perform some classic Buffett tunes as a member of the Tidal Wave Band.
